Day 1:
Departure Flight.

Day 2: Freiburg
Arrive at Zurich airport, and meet your Teach By Travel tour manager. Board your motorcoach and transfer north to Schaffhausen to see the beautiful Rhine Falls. Continue to the edge of the Black Forest and check into your hotel for dinner and overnight in Freiburg.

Day 3: Freiburg - Heidelberg
Morning walking tour of Freiburg center, the pedestrian area in the Old Town and the Freiburg Munster. Travel to Baden Baden, once the spa destination of European aristocracy. Discover the "Belle Epoque" architecture, the thermal baths and the striking Russian church. Continue north to the Nekcar River and Heidelberg for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Heidelberg - Cologne
Morning visit to Heidelberg Castle, and the University, dating from the 14th century. Depart Heidelberg and journey to Mainz for a fascinating visit to the Gutenberg Museum, detailing the work of Johannes Gutenberg, the first European to use movable type printing - his major work, the Gutenberg Bible, is acclaimed for its high aesthetic and technical quality. Continue to Cologne for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Cologne
Guided sightseeing tour of Cologne, including the pedestrian area. Enjoy stunning views of the Rhine River, enter the majestic cathedral, and see the Hohenzollern Bridge. Time to visit the Romano-Germanic Museum whose collection has profited from the archaeological legacy of Cologne and the surrounding region, which spans a period from prehistoric times to the early Middle Ages. Highlights of the museum include the largest collection of Roman glass vessels and a unique collection of Roman and early medieval jewelry. Free time to stroll the Old City and its markets.

Day 6: Cologne - Hamburg
Depart Cologne and journey to Hanover for a tour featuring the New City Hall, the Opera House, the Market Church and the Old Town Hall. Continue to Hamburg, along the Elbe River, the second largest city in Germany. Dinner and overnight in Hamburg.

Day 7: Hamburg
Morning guided sightseeing tour of the Hanseatic League City. The harbor, canals, and the central Alster Lake have given this metropolis a unique maritime flair. Enjoy a boat trip of the port before leisure time to shop and explore the Warehouse District or see the grand church St. Michaelis. Dinner and overnight in Hamburg.

Day 8: Hamburg - Berlin
Travel east to the capital of Germany, Berlin. Guided city sightseeing tour shows you the Brandenburg Gate, the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, an inside visit of the Reichstag, Check Point Charlie, Unter den Linden, the Berlin Wall Memorial, and more. Free time to stroll the Mitte district. Dinner and overnight in Berlin.

Day 9: Berlin
Morning guided visit to the world famous Pergamon Museum, which houses an extensive collection of ancient Greek, Middle-Eastern and Islamic art and architecture. Free afternoon to explore on your own, or you may opt to visit the Deutsches Historisches Museum. Farewell dinner and overnight in Berlin.

Day 10:
Transfer to the airport for your return flight.
