Days 1/2: Delhi
Overnight flight. Arrive in Delhi, and transfer to your hotel for check-in.
Day 3: Delhi
Full day guided tour, including the 17th century walled city of Shah Jahanabad. Take a rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, now a picturesque bazaar, enroute to Red Fort, built in 1645. Enjoy a memorable visit to New Delhi, featuring a visit to Qutub Minar, built in 1206, and an important example of Indo-Islamic architecture. Welcome dinner tonight, followed by overnight in Delhi. Day 4: Delhi - Jaipur
Drive to Jaipur and upon arrival, check-in to your hotel. Late afternoon walk to the gates of Jal Mahal (the water temple) for spectacular sunset views, as cattle and water buffalo graze in the paddocks around the former palace. Tonight, an incredible experience - an Indian Culinary evening, cooking and dining with an Indian family! Overnight in Jaipur. (B, D).
Day 5: Jaipur
Start your tour of Jaipur with a visit (via elephant ride!) to the Amber Fort, originally built in the 11th century. The Fort's rugged exterior and delicate interior is beautifully protected on all sides by the wild Arrival Hills. Continue to the City Palace, housing an extensive collection of rare manuscripts, Mughal carpets, costumes, textiles, and more. At its center is Chandra Mahal, the seven-tiered moon palace where the present Maharaja still resides. Outside the gateway of the City Palace is a modern structure known as a Yantra, the unique creation of an astronomer-king, to observe the movements of the sun, moon, planets and stars. Also see the Palace of Winds, Jaipur's most photographed building, a honeycomb palace overlooking the bazaar. Overnight in Jaipur. (B).
Day 6: Jaipur - Agra
Enroute to Agra, stop and marvel at Fatephur Sikri, built in 1571 by Akbar, and a marvel of design and construction. Its pristine red sandstone buildings are as perfect as when they were first built! This evening transfer to the Kalakriti Cultural and Convention Centre to view the extraordinary "Mohabbat the Taj," a live show performed by 70 professional artists from different parts of India. Dinner is included tonight. Overnight in Agra. (B, D).
Day 7: Agra - Katni
Sunrise horse carriage ride to the world-famous Taj Mahal. 20,000 craftsmen labored for 17 years to complete this stunning marble masterpiece. Return to your hotel for breakfast and free time before touring Agra Fort, also built by Akbar, combining defensive architecture with beauty and design. Evening transfer to the Agra rail station to board your air-conditioned overnight train # 22182 dep. 20:58 bound for Katni. (B).
Day 8: Katni - Bandhavgarh Jungle Lodge
Arrive Kanti at 07:05 and drive to Bandhavgarh, a park and ancient stronghold of kings, dating back roughly 4,000 years. View leopards, antelopes, deer, wild boar, and many more species on your afteroon jungle safari. Dotted with many caves, rock paintings, and carvings, the park is also home to the last White Tiger in the wild. There is much to see, including over 70 species of butterflies and birds. Overnight at Bandhavgarh Lodge. (B, L, D).

Day 9: Safari - Bandhavgarh

Day 10: Khajuraho
After breakfast drive to Khajuraho, and check into your hotel. Afternoon visit to the Eastern Complex, followed by an evening Sound and Light Show. (B).
Day 11: Khajuraho - Varanasi
This morning visit the Western Complex of temples from the Chandella period, 9th- 11th century, illustrated with remarkable sculptures of the classic literature of the Kama Sutra. Later transfer to airport for flight your flight to Varanasi. Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel and enjoy free time to stroll the Old City. A unique experience tonight, as you board a country boat to witness an aarti cermony performed on the banks of the River Ganges. (B).
Day 12: Varanasi
View the picturesque sunrise as you boat along the River Ganges. Visit the old city of Varanasi before returning to your hotel for breakfast. Afternoon visit to the Samath, one of the best of Buddhist antiquities. Time to visit the Archeological Museum, featuring a rich collection of Buddhist sculptures. (B, D).
Day 13: Varanasi - Delhi
Morning at leisure, then transfer to the airport for flight to Dehli. Transfer to a hotel near the airport before your late night transfer to your return international flight. (B).
