Day 1:
Departure Flight.

Day 2: Madrid
Arrive Madrid airport, meet your Teach By Travel tour manager, and transfer to your hotel for check-in. After an orientation briefing, time to explore on your own before dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Madrid
Guided city sightseeing tour of Madrid, where you will see the Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, the Cervantes Memorial, and more, including entrance to the Prado, where you will view masterpieces by Velazquez, El Greco, and Goya, among others. Free time to enjoy Retiro Park, visit the National Museum, or the Queen Sofia Art Center. Dinner and overnight in Madrid.

Day 4: Madrid
Morning excursion to the Royal Palace for a look at Spanish royal life. Free time this afternoon - try the San Fernando Royal Academy of Fine Arts, shop for souvenirs or view the lively scene at Plaza Mayor. Tonight, enjoy private flamenco dance lessons! Learn the drama and passion of this famous Spanish dance, followed by a flamenco performance with dinner.

Day 5: Madrid - Segovia
Board your coach this morning for your journey to Segovia. See the amazing Roman-engineered acqueduct, over 2,000 years old, the fairy-tale-like Alcazar and the 16th century Cathedral before returning to Madrid.

Day 6: Madrid - Toledo
Morning excursion to Toledo, where Christians, Muslims and Jews once lived in harmony. Your guided tour features El Transito Synagogue, the Church of Santo Tome and more. Time to stroll the cobble-stoned streets, shop and explore before returning to Madrid.

Day 7: Madrid - Rome
Transfer to the airport and board your flight bound for Rome. After hotel check-in, time to explore on your own before dinner and overnight in Rome.

Day 8: Rome
Morning guided city sightseeing tour of the Eternal City. See the Pantheon, St. Peter in Chains, the Colosseum and more, including the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel. This evening, you may want to walk to the Spanish Steps, or window shop along the Via Veneto.

Day 9: Rome
A free day in Rome to fulfill your personal sightseeing plans, or do as the ancient Romans did, and travel east of Rome to the retreat of Tivoli and Hadrian's Villa, with its gardens, temples, baths and lakes. Return to Rome for dinner and overnight. Or take an optional excursion to the archeological site of Ostia Antica, which in ancient times was situated at the mouth of the Tiber River, and was an important harbour. See the impressive amphitheater, built in 12 B.C. and many other well-preserved ruins and frescoes. Return to Rome for dinner and overnight. Don't forget to toss a coin in the Trevi Fountain!

Day 10:
Transfer to the airport for your return flight.
