Day 1:
Departure Flight.

Day 2: Sorrento
Land at Rome airport, meet your Teach by Travel tour manager, and transfer to Sorrento for time to relax and unpack. Dinner and overnight in Sorrento.

Day 3: Sorrento
Gorgeous seaside scenery today as you travel along the Amalfi Coast to the town of Paestum. Marvel at the three temples of Paestum, built starting from 550 B.C, and including the Neptune Temple, arguably the best preserved Dorian temple in the world. Return to Sorrento for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Sorrento - Capri
A delightful day today - the Isle of Capri and a ride to the Blue Grotto, a sea cave adorned by statues. The sunlight streaming into the cavern of the Blue Grotto makes the water a breathtaking shade of blue. Free time for shopping and strolling in Capri before returning to Sorrento for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Sorrento - Rome
Depart Sorrento and transfer to the fascinating ruins of Pompeii. See what life was like for the citizens of Pompeii before the eruption of Mt. Vesuvius in 79 A.D on your guided tour. Board your coach and head on to Rome for dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Rome
Morning guided city sightseeing tour of Rome. See the Pantheon, St. Peter in Chains, the Colosseum and so much more, including the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel. The rest of the day is free to explore on your own.

Day 7: Rome
A free day in Rome to fulfill your personal sightseeing plans, or do as the ancient Romans did, and travel east of Rome to the retreat of Tivoli and Hadrian's Villa, with its gardens, temples, baths and lakes. Hadrian himself supervised the building of Hadrian's Villa (or Villa Adriana) to commemorate his many travels. Return to Rome for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Rome
A final free day in Rome for last minute shopping, or take advantage of an optional excursion to the archaeological site of Ostia Antica, which in ancient times was situated at the mouth of the Tiber River, and was an important harbour. See the impressive amphitheater, built in 12 B.C. and many other well preserved ruins and frescoes. Return to Rome for dinner and overnight.

Day 9:
Transfer to the airport for your return flight.
