Day 1:
Departure Flight.

Day 2: Madrid
Arrive at Madrid airport, meet your Teach by Travel tour manager, and transfer to your hotel for check-in. After your orientation briefing, time to explore on your own before dinner and overnight in Madrid.

Day 3: Madrid
Guided city sightseeing tour of Madrid, where you will see the Puerta del Sol, Plaza de Cibeles, the Cervantes Memorial and more, including entrance to the Prado, where you will view masterpieces by Velazquez, El Greco, and Goya, among others. Free time to enjoy Retiro Park, visit the National Museum, the Queen Sofia Art Center, or the Royal Tapestry Factory.

Day 4: Madrid
A free day in Madrid! Try the San Fernando Royal Academy of Fine Arts, shop for souvenirs, or take in the lively scene at Plaza Mayor. Tonight, view the passion and drama of Spain's famous dance - included Flamenco performance with dinner on your final night in Madrid.

Day 5: Madrid - Rome
Transfer to the airport and board your flight bound for Rome. Free time to explore on your own before dinner and overnight in Rome.

Day 6: Rome
Morning guided city sightseeing tour of the Eternal City. See the Pantheon, St. Peter in Chains, the Colosseum and more, including the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel. This evening, you may want to walk to the Spanish Steps, or window shop along the Via Veneto.

Day 7: Rome
A free day in Rome to fulfill your personal sightseeing plans, or do as the ancient Romans did, and travel east of Rome to the retreat of Tivoli and Hadrian's Villa, with its gardens, temples, baths and lakes. Return to Rome for dinner and overnight. Or take an optional excursion to the archeological site of Ostia Antica, which in ancient times was situated at the mouth of the Tiber River, and was an important harbour. See the impressive amphitheater, built in 12 B.C. and many other well preserved ruins and frescoes. Return to Rome for dinner and overnight. Don't forget to toss a coin in the Trevi Fountain!

Day 8: Rome - Athens
Transfer to the airport and fly to Athens. After hotel check-in, free time to shop in the Plaka, visit the Archaeological Museum, or stroll through Syntagma Square. Dinner and overnight in Athens.

Day 9: Athens - Delphi
Full day excursion today, with lunch included. Board your coach and transfer to the mystical sancturary of Delphi. Thought to be the center of the world, Delphi was known as the Oracle and sanctuary of the god Apollo, where the citizens gathered to receive wisdom and advise from the Oracle. Surrounded by natural beauty, Delphi was an important administrative and spiritual center. Return to Athens for dinner and overnight.

Day 10: Athens
This morning's guided city sightseeing tour of the Cradle of Civilization includes the Acropolis, the Parthenon, the Roman Agora and more. This evening, enjoy a Special Farewell Dinner in the Plaka, complete with Greek dancing!

Day 11:
Transfer to the airport for your return flight.
