Day 1: Playa del Carmen
Arrive at Cancún airport, meet your Teach by Travel tour manager, and transfer to your hotel in Playa del Carmen. Your tour manager takes you on a walking tour of the 5th Ave before dinner.

Day 2: Playa del Carmen - Tulum - Chetumal
Morning departure to Tulum, the famous Mayan harbour, perched atop a cliff, overlooking tourquoise waters and pristine beaches. Continue on to Chetumal, and its fascinating Museum of Mayan Culture. Dinner and overnight in Chetumal.

Day 3: Chetumal - Kohunlich - Palenque
Today's first stop is Kohunlich, best known for its Pyramid of the Masks, built before 500 AD. Marvel at the enormous masks, and enjoy the Cohoon palms that create a park- like feeling to Kohunlich that is peaceful and beautiful. Continue on to Palenque for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Palenque - Agua Azul Falls
Morning guided tour of Palenque, a striking example of the perfect balance between nature and architecture. In the afternoon, the beauty of the waterfalls of "Agua Azul" awaits you, as well as a refreshing swim. Dinner and overnight in Palenque.

Day 5: Palenque - Campeche
Travel to Campeche and stroll the harbour, featuring colonial architecture and the ramparts of its mighty fortress. At the summit of San Miguel Fort, spectacular views of the Bay of Campeche await. Evening Sound and Light Show and a live presentation at San Miguel Fort.

Day 6: Campeche - Kabah - Uxmal - Merida
Morning journey to Kabah, a precious jewel of Mayan architecture and a fine example of Mayan culture. Continue on to the ancient Mayan city Uxmal, in the heart of the Yucatan. Tour Uxmal, parts of which date back to the 6th century, and see the Magician's Pyramid, the Nunnery Quadrangle, and more. Final destination today is Mérida, capital of the Yucatan.

Day 7: Mérida
Guided tour of Mérida, including the Govenor's Palace, the oldest Cathedral in America, the Art Room, and a stroll down the Paseo de Montejo's Blvd, with its great mansions from the last century. Continue to Progresso Beach for a dip into the Gulf of Mexico! Return to Mérida for free time to shop or explore on your own.

Day 8: Mérida - Chichen Itza - CancÚn
Morning departure to the most famous site in the Yucatan Penisula - Chichen Itza, where you will see the fusion of the different architectural styles which reflect the different cultures. On your way to Cancún, stop at the Cenote Ik-Kil, fascinating underwater caves located in a cavern. Arrive in Cancún for dinner and overnight.

Day 9:
Return flight.
