Teach By Travel - French and Spanish Delights - Country Combination Tours
Day 1:
Departure Flight.
Day 2: Paris
Arrive in Paris to be greeted by your TBT tour director and transfer to your hotel. After hotel check-in, regroup for a Metro lesson given by your tour director and proceed to La Place de la Concorde. Stroll through Tuilleries Gardens and carry on to Ile de la City - combined ticket entrance to both La Conciergerie and Sainte-Chapelle. Continue to Montmartre area to see Sacré Coeur followed by time to stroll the artist area. Dinner and overnight in Paris.
Day 3: Paris
Morning guided city tour of Paris - see the world famous symbol of Paris, the Eiffel Tower, Trocadero, Nôtre Dame Cathedral, the Arc de Triomphe and more! Free afternoon before included dinner at the 1st level of the Eiffel Tower, Restaurant 58, including lift ticket to the TOP of the Eiffel Tower. Conclude with Seine River Cruise and Illumination Drive en route to hotel. Overnight in Paris.
Day 4: Bayonee - Biarritz
Morning fast train TGV from Paris to Bayonne. Enjoy a walking tour with your tour director to see this typical Basque village of half timbered houses with traditional red or green shutters. See the remnants of the ramparts. Included entrance to the Cathedral of Ste-Marie which stands on the Pilgrimage Way of Santiago de Compostela. Lunch on your own. Continue to Biarritz with a stop in St. Jean de Luz en route. Dinner & overnight in Biarritz.
Day 5: Biarritz
Walking tour of Biarritz with your tour director including St. Martins Church. Balance of the day at your leisure before dinner & overnight in Biarritz.
Day 6: San Sebastian - Bilbao
Depart Biarritz and cross the border into Spain! Arrive in San Sebastian and enjoy a walking tour of this summer resort town! Take the funicular to the top of Monte Igueldo for splendid views of San Sebastian. Time for lunch on your own. Continue to Bilbao for an included visit to the Guggenheim Museum. Dinner & overnight in Bilbao.
Day 7: Victoria - Zaragoza
Depart Bilbao and stop in Victoria to see the medieval district and the Cathedral of Santa Maria before continuing to Zaragoza. Guided tour of Zaragoza, once the residence of the kings of Aragon, including a visit to Our Lady of Pilar. Dinner and overnight in Zaragoza.
Day 8: Barcelona
Morning departure from Zaragoza to lovely Barcelona! Afternoon guided tour including Parc Montjuic, City Hall, the Cathedral, the Gothic Quarter and concluding with an entrance to Gaudi's Sagrada Familia. Dinner and overnight in Barcelona.
Day 9: Montserrat
Morning excursion to the Monastery of Montserrat. View spectacular vistas of the Catalunya mountains. See the marvelous Basilica, home to the revered La Moreneta, or Black Virgin. Return to Barcelona for free time before dinner & overnight.
Day 10: Barcelona
Morning entrance included to the Picasso Museum with remainder of the day free for last minute sightseeing and shopping. Conclude your tour with a Flamenco dinner and dance tonight! Overnight in Barcelona.
Day 11:
Transfer to the airport for your return flight.
