Teach By Travel - Imperial Cities of Morocco - Spain/Africa
Day 1:
Departure Flight.
Day 2: Tangier
Arrive Tangier airport, meet your Teach By Travel tour manager, and transfer to your hotel for check-in. Your tour manager will provide an orientation briefing before dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Tangier - Rabat
Guided tour of Tangier, one of the oldest cities in Morocco, dating from the Neolithic era. Free time in the Medina where Moroccan and Berber handicrafts are displayed. Proceed to the imperial city of Rabat for dinner and overnight.
Day 4: Rabat
Guided tour of Rabat, including an outside view of the Royal Palace, Chellah, a necropolis and complex of ancient and medieval ruins, Tour Hassan, and the King's Mausoleum. Afternoon visit to the Kasbah Oudayas. Enter the Oudayas, through the magnificent gate of “Bab-Al-Oudayas”, built in 1195, and view its spectacular beauty. Time to drink a traditional mint tea while admiring magnificent views over the city of Sale’ and the Bouregreg river.
Day 5: Rabat - Miknes - Fes
Depart Rabat and transfer to the imperial city of Meknes, founded in the 11th century. The city's unity of style lends it an undeniable charm, enhanced further still by the beauty of the surrounding countryside. Time to enjoy the impressive views of the Agdal basin before continuing to Fes for dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Fes
Guided city tour of Fes, the religious and cultural capital of the kingdom. Bustling with artisans and merchants, its captivating sounds, fragrances, and colors mesmerize the visitor with a constant swirl of activity. Included lunch in a Riad, a traditional Moroccan house with an interior garden, in the old medina. Dinner and overnight in Fes.
Day 7: Fes - Mellal - Marrakech
Depart Fes for Beni Mellal via the lovely Berber towns of the Middle Atlas, as well as the beautiful mountain and forest landscapes. Stop in Beni Mellal for lunch before proceeding to Marrakech for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Marrakech
Full day guided tour of Marrakech, starting with the Koutoubia, the Bahia Palace and Gardens, and the Saadian Tombs. Lunch, along with a Moroccan cooking course, in Raid Tamsna. Afternoon visit to Djemaa el Fna Square and the souks and old medina, as well as the Jemaa El Fna Square, a vast esplanade filled with dancers, musicians, story-tellers, and snake-charmers. Special Farewell Dinner with entertainment!
Day 9:
Transfer to the airport for your return flight.
